Obesity
Most of us are aware about obesity, which is a common problem that affects adults as well as children. But how many of us actually realize the seriousness of this condition? According to studies, obesity could take away almost 10 years of a person’s life! With fast food and junk food becoming a part of our diet, accompanied by the lack of exercise, the percentage of people suffering due to this condition is steadily increasing. If this condition is ignored, it may have adverse effects such as an increase in blood pressure, and the risk of heart disease.

Heart Burn
The causes for the burning sensation in the chest, experiencing unbearable pain in the upper abdomen are the symptoms of the stomach ailment called as Heart Burn. The valve at the entry point of the stomach should not return the food. If it is so, it relates to Heart Burn. Knowing the disease and the treatment in details will help to take preventive measures.

Hernia
Organs surrounding the stomach may bulge out through the weakened or a punctured muscle in the abdominal wall is called as Hernia. It may even affect other parts of the body. The different types of Hernia namely Ventral Hernia, Incisional Hernia and Umbilical Hernia are discussed in details.

Difficulty in Swallowing
Achalasia which is the opposite of Heart Burn where one cannot eat food properly and experience pain when they try to swallow anything. It is also known as Dysphagia. Here the valve is very tight which will not open enough to let the food to the stomach. It is more prevalent in women and elderly people. This can even occur due to cancer in the oesophagus or stomach. The preventive and the treatment are discussed in detail.

Stomach Cancer
The stomach is made up of several cells which will divide, multiply and produce new cells. If the cells multiply abnormally in the body, tumour is formed which can be removed through proper treatment. If proper treatment is not given, tumour will develop into cancer and affect health. The disease producing organisms will affect the stomach wall creating ulcer and with time it results in stomach cancer for some people. Cancer will produce a large number of cells in the body and spreads and affects other parts of the body and destroys them. How the test and surgery will prevent the spread of the disease and keep the person healthy is discussed.
